Women take the honours
Women account for 42% of the Queen's Birthday Honours List. This is the largest proportion of women to receive an honour yet and is a step up from the 37% on the New Year List.
Earlier this year the Cabinet Office launched a 'Do the Honours' campaign aimed at increasing female nominations, particularly in the fields of Economy, Science and Technology and Sport.
